Taglia. Associamo spesso una connotazione negativa e irosa a questo gesto, ma spesso si tratta di un gesto di cura che si rende necessario, perchè è inutile non volersi liberare di quei rami già secchi da tempo solo perché una volta avevano fatto parte della pianta. Sarà poi il tempo a rivelare se quei rami sono destinati a ricrescere, rinnovati e forti, o se invece saranno le fronde già verdi a crescere ancora più rigogliose. 

Questa illustrazione fa parte di una serie destinata a crescere. Si tratta di messaggi, di promemoria a me stessa che ho deciso di fermare in immagini in cui spero possiate ritrovarvi anche voi.

Taglia in Italian means “cut”. We tend to associate a negative and scornful connotation with this gesture, but it's often an act of care that becomes necessary. It's futile to refrain from getting rid of those long-dead branches simply because they were once part of the plant. Time will eventually reveal whether those branches are destined to regrow, renewed and robust, or if instead, it will be the already green foliage that thrives even more vigorously

This illustration is part of a personal project  about notes to self and good reminders, in form of cards, and I hope you’ll empathize with them. This is an ongoing project, so keep an eye on it!
