RALLENTA. L’ho imparato col tempo, o sarebbe più onesto dire che ci sto ancora lavorando. Io che corro, io che fagocito le cose e gli impegni, io che mentre inizio qualcosa penso già a cosa fare dopo e dopo ancora. Mi sono accorta che così viaggiavo a velocità folle senza nemmeno guardare fuori dal finestrino, chiedevo a me stessa così tanto da non lasciarmi cinque minuti per godermi qualcosa. E ho iniziato a ripetermelo: rallenta

Questa illustrazione fa parte di una serie destinata a crescere. Si tratta di messaggi, di promemoria a me stessa che ho deciso di fermare in immagini in cui spero possiate ritrovarvi anche voi.

Rallenta is the Italian imperative form of SLOW DOWN. It’s something I learnt in time, to be honest I’m still working on it. I tend to rush, to devour things and commitments. Whenever I start something I’m already wondering what I’ll be up to next and next again. I realised this was like travelling at high speed without even taking a look at the window, I was so demanding with myself that I didn’t allow 5 spare minutes to enjoy my achievements. That’s when I started to repeat myself that I have to slow down.

This illustration is part of a personal project  about notes to self and good reminders, in form of cards, and I hope you’ll empathize with them. This is an onoing project, so keep an eye on it!
